St. John’s Memorial Garden and Meditation Path

The St. John’s Memorial Garden was created in memory of Graham Fulton in 1996, through a gift from the Fulton family. It was formally dedicated and the altar consecrated by Bishop Andrew Smith on June 30, 1998. It is located by the north side parking lot behind the church. Adjacent to the Memorial Garden, is a meditation path with 12 scriptural readings.

The purpose of the Memorial Garden is threefold:

  • To provide a serene burial place for the interment of the ashes of deceased members of St. John’s Episcopal Church
  • To be a place for prayerful reflection, meditation, and remembrance
  • To be a place consecrated for the celebration of the rites and ceremonies of the Episcopal Church

Information about the policies and regulations of the garden, as adopted by the Vestry, are included in a booklet that is available in the parish office. Interment rights may be arranged by the parish office at 872-0517.
