Welcome Message from the Priest-in-Charge

Welcome to St. John’s! Our Christian community in the Episcopal tradition has been a spiritual home to God’s people since 1855, when the first worship service was held in Rockville. Since then, we have grown to welcome people, not only from Vernon and Rockville, but also from Manchester, South Windsor, Ellington, Tolland, Willington and beyond. Our ministries of outreach, education, evangelism and pastoral care are deeply important to us. We invite you to explore our life in Christ through our website, and to join us for worship on Sundays at 8:00 or 10:00 a.m. May God’s peace be always with you, and again WELCOME!

For Virginia's monthly message, visit our Meet the Priest-in-Charge page.

St. John’s Episcopal Parish is ...

...a diverse Christian Community, called to serve Christ in the unity of the spirit. We are nurtured by our worship of God, through His holy word and Sacraments.

Our life in Christ calls us to:

  • INVITE all people to discover the timeless love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
  • LEARN AND TEACH the Good News of the Gospel.
  • CARRY OUT MINISTRIES of social outreach in the community and in the world.
  • THANKFULLY PLEDGE our time, money and talents for this work of Christ.
